Who We Are
TEREYN Architects is an RIBA Chartered Architectural Practice based in Cambridge. We provide a high quality contemporary design service and have an established expertise in residential development, house extensions, housing developments and bespoke new build homes. We bring our specialist knowledge and skills to assist our clients throughout their project, priding ourselves on our professional, practical and personal approach.
What is TEREYN?
TEREYN is pronounced in the same way as the word ‘terrain’ and comes from the Latin word for land - ‘terra’. At TEREYN, we view land as not only the base upon which a foundation is formed but also as the very starting point, the clean slate and drawing board for architectural design ideas to be envisioned, imagined, created, and brought to life.
Approach
We value the working relationships that we establish with our clients, recognising the significance they place on these connections. We take the time to understand the specific needs of our clients and as such believe in a proactive approach to project involvement, through which we have gained a great deal from repeat clients. We enjoy assisting our clients with the knowledge and expertise of architectural design that they need to make informed decisions throughout the course of their project.
At TEREYN Architects, we specialise in cutting-edge 3D visualisations through modeling and rendering, 3D video presentations and Virtual Reality (VR) experiences. This helps complement our contemporary style and approach to architecture and brings great value to our clients during both the design and build phases. Through these techniques of design presentation we foster excellent communication and innovation within our office which is therefore experienced by the clients we work with.
Design
Design is at the forefront of our approach. We provide well designed homes that go beyond the minimum standards, promote the feeling of well-being, facilitate healthier lifestyles and result in delight for the end-user. We assist our clients with services from the first time we meet right through to a fully built completed project. Not one client is the same, therefore our tailored service packages mean that we can be there with you every step of the way, whatever your preference.
Collaboration
We work with a variety of specialist consultants and contractors who assist us and our clients (when required) during the course of a project. As a practice we have built up established working relationships with our consultants and contractors in Cambridge and call on their input when needed. Some of these are, Party Wall Surveyor, Heritage Consultant, Arboriculturalist, Energy Assessor, Structural Engineer, and Building Contractors. Collaboration and clear communication with the people we work with is the key to a successful project and something which we value greatly.
